Astha Negi

Astha leads the firm’s Trademark practice. As a global brand protection strategist, Astha specializes in the protection of soft IP including trademark, copyright and design. She advises numerous Fortune 500 companies and represents the interest of clients from diverse industries. Some of her clients are global giants in hospitality, food and beverages, emerging technology, and venture capital funds.

Astha manages and supervises the trademark portfolios for the firm’s clients in many jurisdictions, spanning South and East Asia, the US, EU, and the Middle East. Her practice focuses on trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings, and she has appeared in a large number of hearings before the Indian Trademark Office. She regularly advises her clients on IP due diligence of their assets to identify any red flags, along with suggestions on mitigating measures.

She was selected as one among two representatives from India to attend a training course for trademark practitioners offered by the Japan Patent Office. Astha is an active member of INTA and Marques, and regularly attends their annual conferences. Currently, she is a member of the Designs Committee of the INTA.

Astha is passionate about emerging technologies and environmental and social sustainability. She regularly participates in workshops and webinars on various aspects of IP for law students and faculty. She champions the cause of fitness through sports among women professionals.
